Mettle Banking App and Account - Fraudulent transactions for the second time in 12 months.

I opened my Mettle bank account when I created my limited company. It appealed due to the online support, support of Free Agent/Quick Books and the fact that there is no monthly account fee.

In around September/November last year I had 3 payments of approx. £500.00 made on my account to Screwfix which I reported immediately. I cancelled the card and was sent a new one almost immediately which was quite impressive. I also received the money back into my account, I think within 72 hours.

Last night, whilst with the kids, I felt my phone go off a number of times in my pocket but didn't look immediately as I believed it was whatsapp notifications.
About 20 minutes after the kids went to bed, I checked my phone to see that 3 separate transactions had occurred with a total in excess of £1500.00.

Whilst I had my phone in my hand, another 3 separate transactions were attempted to which I was able to decline and then disable the card/payment.

I woke up this morning with another 6 attempted transactions. for various amounts between £300-£600 which have all been declined.

I do not use my physical card very often and app transactions are either via apple pay or entering card details through trusted apps such as booking.com and other work related expenses.

Has anyone had similar in the last 12 months? I am genuinely considering moving to a different provider now as I do not believe my details are safe with Mettle.

No site can be trusted…. Just look at BA being hacked years ago
