Thanks, the Dacia Spring is the cheapest car to lease in UK. But its only got 95 mile range.

Do you think 95 miles still applies in UK winter time?

Also, how much year on year depreciation of the range would you get?

Do you think its possible to have an electric car if you live in a flat and have no drive? I am prepared to walk a mile or so to the car.

10,000 miles per annum - what does that look like? What is your commute like?

EV database suggests a 70-155 mile real world range for the Spring. Degradation won't be a factor in a lease car - driving style and weather come first. If your commute is under 30 miles each way you should be fine in any situation.

We lived quite happily without home charging for the first couple of months of owning the Zoe - just plugging in at the supermarket / local multi-storey from time to time. That worked fine - however Zoe has double the range of the Spring and supports 22kW AC charging which is both fast-ish and cheap-ish. YMMV.

Typically, the range of an EV will be lower in the winter.

Having an EV while living in a flat and no drive will depend on the public charging provision near you. In our area, the charging provision is increasing all the time, even with plugs in lamp posts. Do you have anything like that near you?

I’ve recently been in the same boat, but I found some really useful guides from a leasing broker called Letstalkleasing. They have lots of articles on the best deals etc. I’ll link their website down below for you . I eventually got my car from there and they’ve been really good with a cracking price 👌
