Cost to paint a room this size
Hi
Can anyone advise how much a painter might charge to paint a room the size:
18’7 (5.66) x 12’10 (3.91) including skirting and ceiling.
Thanks!

£500-1000?
There are so many things that you haven’t said, such as how much fiddly bits of cutting in, current condition, cost of materials. …
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
Cutting in annd how fiddly - unsure! I’m a bit of a novice on how much effort it would take.
Would a photo help?
I don’t know cost of materials… My query was about the labour 👍

A lot depends on how good a finish you want, and the condition of the walls.
The amount of prep required will make a lot of difference to the price.

thanks - did not consider that.
it was built 2018. This will be the first refresh.
wall condition is good.I want a great finish!
looking for a ball park…. £600, £800, £1000, £12000 -
Will depend on where in the UK you are & how much decorator thinks they can get away with.
Best to just get 3 quotes.

My experience is of a significantly wide range of quotes, with differences up to a factor of 4 or 5.. The cheap ones tend to be younger guys doing it out of hours/weekends for cash. Although the preparation will tend to be minimal.
Then right through to someone who will take ages ( and charge accordingly) as they painstakingly do everything perfectly.
OP - You are also probably looking at £100 ( max) for materials. Decorators usually supply/bring the standard paint- white emulsion- white gloss/satinwood etc . They may prefer to also supply the coloured paint, or may be happy for you to buy it. They prefer the more expensive trade paint, as it goes on quicker/easier, so it takes less time.
I would work around a £1000 all in in the South.
