We have Ee contract sept 2025 (2year) £8 per month discounted to £6 as we don’t use data? ( pensioners). We understood that this was a fixed price till 2027.

now it would appear that it will rise £2.50 per month, annually.

we only stayed with ee because of the price, and when we spoke with ee were informed that we would have to pay for the whole 2 year contract if we want to leave

help I’m sure that there are others in this position

We understood that this was a fixed price till 2027.

    Why did you understand this?

Is this what is says in the contract that you agreed to?

Were you told this by an EE representative (in person or on the phone)?

Just about every mobile phone contract has this annual increase built-in.

You'll have to dig out your contract but as @flaneurs_lobster said above just about all the major network providers have annual increases in their Ts and Cs.

A contract can be made over the phone, verbally. If there were no contract in place then they would not be providing you with a service.

If you are certain that the EE representative stated that there would be no annual price increase then you should make a formal complaint to EE stating this. Their website has the procedure for this.

it’s across all providers these days. I have £6 o2 sim only and £6 data sim. Have been told that as of April both will increase by £2.50. A result I’m sure of battling the CPI increases and has resulted in those on low tariff getting the worst end of it with high % increases.

Can you not upgrade your tariff? I do this every March which pushes the increase back 12 months. You can look on here and Uswitch to find best deal and upgrade. May offer a cheaper rate until next year. Just have to play the, at their own game.

my data only is legacy from having o2 iPad and somehow over the last few years they have added a 40% discount so the increase drops to £1.40 and somehow I now get 150gb for £6 so leaving that well alone.

Same here EE on a £6 and £6.88 tariffs all getting a £2.50 increase which is not proportionate, £2.50 maybe a small
percentage increase when you have an expensive phone + airtime/data contract but it made me think how much and
    look elsewhere.

Just waiting for my Lebara Sims to switch us all, EE keep phoning but not spoken to them yet because I know they are
unlikely to be able to match the Lebara deal. I will speak to them when the SIMs arrive, perfect that the Lebara matches
what we currently pay for exactly and we had no signal issues on Vodafone.

£6 deal was from the Plusnet switch and 2 of the contracts had no increase which did seem odd but may have been a
glitch from the original Life Mobile contracts? The other contracts went up from £6 to £6.88 and then the £2.50 increase.
