Best Cash Isa rates
Hi. Looking to ensure the best place for the cash as the new tax year is looming large, and I see the best rates - Trader 212 and Leeds BS are similar to Chip's rates, but Chip is nowhere to be seen in the table. Is there a problem with Chip that would exclude them from the table?

lists eight easy access cash ISAs, paying between 3.91% and 4.4%.
isn't 'similar' as it's some way off that mark so doesn't make a 'best buys' table that's sorted by interest rate.

Interesting, thnaks. I did note that Trading 212 only pays 3.6% on funds transferred from previous years, actually below the Chip rate as in the link supplied which seems in indicate 3.76%. Guess it's a case of weighing up all the options, and bonus time limited supplementary rate elements.
Thanks both.

Yes, some providers do pay lower interest on transferred funds, but the MSE piece explains that - there are still plenty paying better than Chip though!

This is the best 1yr, actually 12mths+30 day fixed cash isa.
You need a HSBC current account to get it. It pays 4.5% but you can also get Cashback if you transfer or pay new money in of £20k or more. If you pay in £20k you’ll get £150 cash back, so that makes the overall rate about 5%.
There is an important caveat. It must be new money from outside HSBC So DO NOT FUND FROM HSBC ACCOUNT. It needs to be funded from a non Hsbc group bank. If the money you wish to use is in a hsbc account, send it somewhere else and then faster payments it DIRECTLY TO THE ISA ACCOUNT. Using its sort code and account number..If you pay in from a hsbc group account, you’ll still get the 4.5% but not the Cashback due to sneaky t&cs - I very nearly fell foul as I was going to transfer money to my hsbc current account to internally fund, purely because I already had my current account listed as a payee, luckily noticed in time!
