Poll: Draft auto-save: keep it on or turn it off?
Hi everyone,
When we switched on the new Rich Text Editor recently, we also enabled auto-saving drafts.
(Also being discussed in this thread)
Some members have told us the current auto-save behaviour is annoying, and a few think it may be contributing to posting issues in certain situations. We’re investigating those reports, but we’d like your view on the feature itself.
Would you prefer us to turn draft auto-save off for now?
Note: In a few months we’re planning a layout update that should address some of the issues our members have mentioned. If we do switch auto-save off now, we may look at re-enabling it again after those changes.

I find the auto-save is mildly irksome at times, but I go through and delete any unwanted saved drafts once a week or so.
And on occasion it's saved me having to retype a reply. So, on balance, I've voted to keep it.

I have voted to turn it off.
I really don't care that much either way about the auto-save, but as a prolific poster, my saved drafts was filling up quickly with items I had no need to save, and didn't want to save. It makes it harder to find any drafts I did want.
The worst feature is that drafts can only be deleted one at a time. If batch selecting and deleting was available (as in most email programs) using ctrl+click and shift+click then I would accept it.
Another feature I would be happy with would be if auto-save could be turned off by a user in their Profile>Account & Privacy Settings. I would turn mine off.
