If it really bothered you, you could probably buy the freehold using 'Statutory Enfranchisement'.
If the estate agent's listing is correct, and the ground rent stated in the lease really is £0, then the cost of the freehold would be about £0 (because the freehold is worthless).
But I think it's more likely that the lease says the ground rent is £5 or £10 or £20 or similar per year - so the freehold might cost around £100.
BUT… with an absent freeholder, the legal costs might be a bit high - maybe £3k to £5k.
(So you could offer £5k less than you would otherwise, to take account of the legal fees for buying the freehold.)
