Is the shop still in operation since there has been no response as to enquiries?

Who this retailer is is something that the OP has to provide.
While I do agree with @eskbanker There are so many inconsistencies in the post. That make you just wonder (given time of year)

I'm holding off naming and shaming because I'm still hoping its a genuine mistake and don't want to cause any issues while they still have my property.

The warranty is actually quite vague on the repairs and timescales. Nothing that would help. …. and as for the curtesy vehicle - no. With Mobility Scooter repairs, there is rarely any scheme like that. I've asked my Scooter Insurance company, who said they won't cover the hire of one either.

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking? ….. If I got a Taxi, one way, to the place (without the Scooter), it would cost £100(+) for that one journey. That was the average quote I was given through several Taxi companies, and Uber, and Bolt. ….
When my friend (who does not live near me, so had to drive 25mins to come to me first to collect it) dropped it off, it cost £40 in fuel, which obviously I had to reimburse. ….
The place is not close to where I live. I bought the scooter when they were having a store special sale, and they dropped it off in a van, for a £175 delivery charge.

Just out of interest, what does this Scooter Insurance policy you are paying for actually cover?
Is it like a car TPFT policy which is mainly to cover your costs if you hit a car or a pedestrian? or is it more like a washing machine policy from Currys, for example?
What I am getting at is, if your policy provides nothing that would help when you need it, is it the right policy for you?

Just because I have a Mobility Scooter, it does not mean I cannot walk at all.
I have a rare condition called Palindrome Rheumatism. It is not a "traditional" form of Rheumatism. It is agony. Basically my body is autoimmune system is genetically messed up. And my body attacks itself violently. ….. On the mobility side, this condition means it attacks the joints and joints capsules, if the joints are used. Mercifully it only attacks one or two joints, (it attacks other parts of the body too though), causing extreme pain and paralysis of those joints… In my case it attacks the Ankles. If you have the attacked joint surgically removed - the body attacks another to make up for it. So that is not fair! The treatment scope for it is incredibly limited, and as it is so rare - especially at my grade - there is not enough research done on it at this time, to help find a proper treatment and cure. So the medical professionals advise not using the affected areas for long, but don't stop using them either, and prescribes you supportive drug treatment for the pain, that usually you don't actually feel any less pain, you just take it and hope.
This means that I cannot walk long distances, and I cannot stand up for long, and any kind of movement on foot, does impact the rest of my week, including - if forced to go longer distances (more than 20 minutes) - it renders me in intense agony, extreme exhaustion as my body tries to deal with the pain that is so intense, I shiver aggressively for hours, while the joint itself is paralysed completely, and I can't talk, or breath normally, or lie still, for the first 32 hours at least, and also completely bedbound for 48 hours. This is how I've lived for over 46years. It starts mainly in kids. For me it was really noticable, when I was 4 years old.
When I have my Scooter, I don't use my Ankles so much and the condition only has mild flares, but not to the bedbound stage. I use a wheelchair inside the house (which I'm struggling to do currently, as I also have developed frozen shoulder) on "high risk" days, or when I'm batch cooking, or doing stuff that means I'd be using the joints for longer. My Scooter means everything to me. Without it, I spend a majority of my week in bed, in pain.
Awareness is key…. Not everyone in Wheelchairs or Mobility vehicles, are solely isolated to those devices, and are immobile.

Hi,
I'm sorry for the confusion. It seems that my inability to summarize, and my Asperger tendency to over share the details, because I don't know what is relevant and what isn't …. causes people to completely doubt everything I say. :(
I have read back and I didn't make it very clear. Apologies. …. I used it very regularly until October, when it developed the fault. When it started playing up a little, I only used it twice more. I was pretty much housebound from the first fault appearance onwards, because I didn't want to do any damage or risk the warranty. . …. I rang the shop immediately to alert them and see what's whah, regarding investigation and repais, and also rang them before using it on those 2 other occassions, because I didn't want any problems with warranty. They said it shouldn't do more harm on those 2 extra occassions, given the light "duty" I was wanting to use it for. I have that in writing from them.
My friend quoted that charge, and he has an old car, and so that probably has something to do with it. I honestly couldn't tell you, but my friend's cost, compared to the Taxi, who likely would have charged extra on arrival at the place, because the scooter is heavy and bulky…I'm glad to have a friend with a car, who was willing to drive it.
I have had that experience before, where as the Taxi driver has gone to take the scooter out of a vehicle, they have asked for more money because of that. And they will refuse to unload the Scooter - or let you unload the Scooter - until you pay. This is a very common experience, amongst those of us who need these devices. You report it to the police who do nothing, so you end up paying the drivers, just to get your "legs" back.
The shop is approx 1hr 35min (on a good day) drive from my house, going through London too.

I think people are asking what distance you're talking about - £40 of fuel, a £100 taxi ride, and the distance you could reasonably travel on a mobility scooter, all seem like three quite different distances.
