My Vodafone contract is almost finally up. I wish to move back to EE. But are third-party EE carriers worth while 1p mobile looks a good price cheaper than what my Vodafone price is now.

Is there any real advantages of being with a main network?

I'm just getting frustrated with Vodafone signal in certain locations.

It all depends what features are important to your use.

Whilst all the MVNOs (3rd party carriers) use the EE signal they don't all offer the same features.

Talk Home - offers low cost access but doesn't provide Volte or wifi calling nor allows tethering.

Spusu - Limited wifi calling (phone model must be on their limited list) and some people report problems with receiving short code texts and OTPs.

Ip Mobile - generally well thought of with same speeds etc as EE but basic account services and CS

Mozillion - another offering full access and wifi calling with 12/24 month deals offering lots of data (check hot deals uk for latest deals)

They all offer good data speeds with speed throttling more likely on EEs own low cost sims which can be limited to 25 Mbs.

So they all work in the basic sense of using EEs signal but vary in features which may or may not be important to your use.

There is also Lyca, but I wouldn't recommend them due to a very poor CS experience.

been with 1p for 6 months now, never needed to use CS, but everything else works as it should. Pay £10 a month for 50gb data and unlimited mins, texts. Would definitely recommend them myself.

I am with SPUSU and they have been really good. I only pay £4.50 for the 5GB tariff. My iphone had a big update over xmas and it changed all my apps to use mobile data when wifi signal is weak. First I knew was that I had no data after a couple of weeks. I did online chat with SPUSU and explained what happened. They FOC upgraded me from 5GB to 10GB for one month as a good will gesture - very happy with them.

Switched from EE to Mozillion this week.

Sim was ordered on Friday, arrived Sat. Started port on Mon, completed on Wends morning.

£108 up front for 24 months. Unlimited mins/text and 30g data. Which works out at £4.50 a month.

I know it's early, but no problems so far.

I'm 3 months into a 24 month contract with Mozillion, £168 upfront for 100gb per month. Works out ar £7 per month. Same experience with the transfer from BT mobile. Mozillion have been brilliant and I've roamed free in Spain last month. Saving £11 per month and getting double the data

Switched from O2 to 1p Mobile last month and am very happy with the coverage. They don't have an app for account checking (you just login to their website) but the information provided is very clear and well laid out.

The lack of an app isn't a issue you can install a web app. Just signed up e SIM set up within an hour very impressed with that. Hopefully my number swap goes just as smoothly. Speeds seem fast at home. The real test will be Monday I got so annoyed with Vodafone lack of signal in areas I could get strong signal over 2 years ago in areas im at regularly with EE
