Current account switch to Nationwide Flex-account , from Chase, help please

    Never had a problem with Nationwide and I wouldn't trust Google reviews or make a decision based on them or. I've been with Nationwide for many years and never had a problem. Yes doing something's in their app is a bit complicated, but once you understand it, it becomes easy. Anyways, back on topic. Has anyone mentioned that to get the fairer sharer reward you need to have either a qualifying savings account or a mortgage with Nationwide. I've got at least 5 household bills DDs 3 of which are on a secondary account that I've switched through the various banks over the last few years. My main account is with Nationwide so that I get the £100 fairer sharer bonus.

    I no longer have a Nationwide account, when I did I found their Customer Service agents incredibly rude and patronising.

    i’ve just used Nationwide for my Help to Buy ISA so I did notice they were very old fashioned!

    i’ve had problems with the Nationwide app in the past, and though i was absolutely terrified when they sent me a cheque for my help to buy isa balance instead of paying it straight into my current account, I still think in general they are a good bank. My kids have accounts there atm and had no probs with those so far. Thanks for all the helpful advice. Are there instructions about how to set up a 2nd account on Chase? Thanks so much again all, Marge

    Opening another current account in Chase is very simple.

    Log-in to the Chase app.

    On the main page, about 1/3rd of the way down, it says Current Accounts. To the right of that there is a box which says Add+

    You simply click on that and work your way through.

    Been with them 30+ years and never had any problems with service or accessing money. Only minor annoyance is that if you have insufficient funds in your account to pay a DD that they will text you but not actually debit it until after you pay more in. With Halifax it's paid out and you can see exactly the balance after payment once you're back in credit.

    Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
