EE or SPSU ?
Was thinking of leaving EE for spusu until they offered me a good deal on retention at £6 for 20gb … I can pay £6.90 for SPUSU which has EU Roaming.
I need a reliable service as I do online live bidding while on the move so cant lag etc - would the service be the same ?.
I rarely go overseas so EU roaming should not be an issue but this year planning a few trips , is there any cheap sims I could use solely for a week or so while travelling ( like 1 month lebara ?) or best to go down the SPUSU route .
thanks

If you need wifi calling check your phone is in the approved SPUSU list as they do not support wifi on all phones.

The other EE virtual operator is 1p Mobile. Compare prices for 1p and SPUSU against EE on a 30 day rolling basis. I personally wouldn’t want to be “locked in” with a 12 or 24 month contract.
EU roaming is included with 1p up to 14 GB per month.

Partly depends on where you use the sim, EE MVNOs like Spusu don't seem to have access to EEs Band 20.
This is often used in Rural/poor signal areas to give improved speeds so MVNOs may not have that benefit.
Wifi calling is another issue with MVNOs like SPUSU, they do offer wifi calling but not with every model of phone.
I've used SPUSU and haven't noticed any issues with speed or lag, the data side of things seems ok.
I did have a problem with phone calls occasionally not connecting, customer service tried to help but we ended at 'your phone needs an update'. It was an old phone which has since been replaced and the problem has resolved with the new phone.0 -
EE.
Just get a Lebara SIM with introductory tariff when going to EU

Have a look at mozillion. They use the EE signal and have some good deals with no speed throttling and eu roaming

Regarding the suggestion that virtual networks using EE may not have the same speed/features as using EE themselves… was that suggested by an EE salesperson?
I just checked 1p Mobile on my iPhone and am getting 190 Mb/s download at the moment (08:45).

This is also on 1p
1p operates directly with EE Wholesale, a lot of the other MVNO’s have a third party link via a company called Transatel, make of that what you will…

With regard to speed throttling it should be noted that many of the EE lower cost sims are speed limited to either 25Mbs or 100Mbs regardless of signal quality.
Worth checking what the offer actually is so that like for like comparisons can be made0 -
Thanks for all the comments - the checked reviews online and a bit concened about possible OTP issues with Spusu - as the phone will be used for my business need a real stable connection and receive banking and two factor confirmatio through text … Would love to go on 1p but dont really need 50gb ( and prefer to pay around the £7 mark ) …
