I'm also bewildered at all the people defending Lebara.

The recent launch of their new next gen core network has brought lots of problems (documented here and elsewhere) including delays to number porting, loss of numbers, roaming issues, the issuing of SIMs and incoming calls.

This is all documented in threads on here and elsewhere.

There are also many threads about poor customer service, unexpected changes to tariffs, problems with VoLTE on Pixel phones (eventually resolved I believe), delays with activating WiFi Calling and so on. Which go back many years.

People also get to know that Trustpilot is the place to complain if you have a problem as they quickly respond and solve the problem. They did with me, refunding the money I was owed plus some extra for my trouble. This does rather encourage people with an unsolved problem to post there increasing poor reviews.

They didn't successfully deliver 1 sim, not the same as failing all or even most promises.

I suspect all telecoms and utility companies will a similar or higher proportion of such failures when dealing with large customer volumes.

I dont' think they're particularly great or terrible in terms of service, leaving just price where they are consistently undercutting. I'll end up paying them £36 in the first 12 months, which doesn't leave them much room for spending ages on me in customer services.
