DCBL - Parking Tickets never recieved
Hello All,
So need advice as i know i have partly F***ed up.
Lads have used my van for work. Travelled to newcastle (M&B - The Denton - Newcastle)
and recieved two parking tickets, 1 on 8/4/25 & 1 on 22/07/2025
Now I never recieved these parking tickets. I Moved house roughly November 2024 & F'ed up and never updates my van to my house. (This was done about a month or so ago)
So i can only Assume that letters went to my old address and I have never had chance to see them.
Anyhow. Recieved DCBL Debt Collector letter stating I owe £340
It also states that Date of letter: 15th January 2026 - That i have 14 days to sort these.
Another Problem is, I received the Debt Collector letter last Friday (30th January)
I work away and am back friday-sunday. So already missed the 14 day period!.
This letter was not at my house the prior weekend, so even if the letter came on Monday (26th) when i was away, I then still only had a few days to sort.
I have tried ringing DCBL. Noone Has Answered the phone.
I dont know what to do.

Do not phone them, ignore them
Do update their DPO and also the DPO at the parking company with the correct address for the service of papers, to stop future paperwork going to the old address , so Data Rectification Notice by email
Ignore DCBL, Ignore the timeline deadlines
Which private parking company claimant issued the 2 £100 pcns. ?

Hi,
What is a "DPO"Which private parking company claimant issued the 2 £100 pcns. ?
I don't who, as i didn't receive any. The Letter from DCBL doesn't tell me who has charged me, it just shows a PCN, date and location.
Googling the location, it looks like its from EuroCarParks, but how would i confirm this?0 -
Follow the link ive sent, its the easiest way of dealing with DCBL

DPO is Data Protection Officer
The Name of their client will be on the debt collectors letter, but could well be ECP as you say

Have a read of the NEWBIES it's 1 of 7 announcement threads at top of page 1.
Read advice in POST 4 - Debt letters and POST 2 - Small Claim.

Hi Chirpy,
Thanks for assisting, but this link just takes me to your post, saying how to update my address.
DCBL have sent a debt letter to the correct address. It was the parking tickets that didnt come to me.
So as far as im aware DCBL have given this £340 charge to parking tickets i wasnt aware about. I tried to call them with no answers.
I just do not know what I should do from here or how to even fight this. The lad who was using my van said he would pay the original parking charge if we knew about it haha0 -
Okay Understood. Apologies again as I may clearly be annoying.
DCBL Have got the correct address as they sent their letter to me at my address.
But Now what do I do as you said do not speak with DCBL.0 -
Just do what you were advised earlier , plus check the debt collectors letters for the name of their client
Do not phone them
You also still have the ability to name the driver, if you wish to dob them
