Samsung TV - Freesat EPG
I'm thinking about buying this TV
Samsung 55 Inch QE55Q7FAAU Smart 4K UHD HDR LED TV
I will be using my current sky dish to connect to the tv. can anyone please confirm if it will pick up all the freesat channels and give me full 7 day EPG?

Since the TV doesn't appear to have satellite inputs, the answer is no.

The cheapest Samsung TV with Freesat I can find is this model.

That TV has an all in one DVB-T2CS2 digital tuner. So is capable of having Sky connected for Freesat.

It may have a tuner capable of understanding satellite transmissions but the specs say it doesn't have a satellite TV connector and only has an aerial connector.

DVB-S/S2 only means the TV can tune satellite signals. Freesat requires licensed Freesat firmware and EPG support, which Samsung UK TVs do not have. So while generic satellite tuning may be possible, Freesat EPG is not supported.
LG are the safest mainstream choice if Freesat matters. Most UK-spec LG OLEDs and higher-end LEDs include Freesat as standard.

Vitor, I am not sure where you got your information on Samsung TVs from. This old Samsung has Freeview, an EPG, and records/pauses live TV when you plug a disk drive into the USB socket marked HDD.
The model is a few years old, UE40MU6400

It's a 3 in one connector….
Which is irrelevant as Sky will provide the EPG for their free channels with their numbering.

The OP asked for Freesat with a clean EPG showing only free-to-air channels, Freesat is purpose-built for that. If you want free channels plus the option of premium sport, films and bundles, Sky provides them, but the EPG will always reflect Sky’s commercial priorities rather than free access.

The UE40MU6400 is from around 2017-2018 when Samsung did support Freesat EPG.
My original comment was aimed at newer Samsung ranges where you often only get generic DVB-S2 tuning without the Freesat EPG.

Where it lists the brief TV spec under the pics its got the Freesat logo in big letter.
So hopefully it does support it.
