Vodaphone Cannot supply at my address, though MSE says otherwise!
I’ve just gone to switch my broadband to Vodaphone, after the Money Savings Expert said I could get a good package from them (Fibre 2) and ensuring I could by inputting my postcode on the MSE site. Then I input my email address to get the supposed £175 voucher (a totally different company to vodaphone) and was then directed to Vodaphone to complete my request. However, after inputting my address and phone number in that site Vodaphone tell me that I am unable to get broadband from them!!!
I am am so angry that the package that I was told my address could get I cannot! So not only did I give my email to a voucher company but also Vodaphone have my details and now cannot help me!
Can anyone supply a phone number to speak to Vodafone direct?
Why are things put on the MSE site and we make the necessary checks, only to find when we go to change they cannot supply!

I cannot find FIBRE 2 from Vodafone.
If it is a legacy part fibre connection then it is likely that the product is no longer on sale.
Why are you so angry?
Not all checkers can be 100% correct all the time.
Edit : Fibre 2 is an old FTTC product, so as above probably withdrawn.1 -
I wouldn't necessarily believe the Vodafone site either as it gives this sort of info:-
My address - full fibre area
Next door neighbour - part fibre area
The whole street is full fibre and has been for a few years now.
Phone number on their website listed as 0333 304 0191

They have your name and address. What is the issue with that?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
F2 is available on FTTC and FTTP so it’s weird that it’s unavailable, a possibility is the cabinet is at ‘waiting list’ , that’s there are no spare ports on the cabinet, assuming that FTTP isn’t available and FTTC is .
put your address in here , FTTC is SoGEA , so look at that column for availability.

I am ‘so angry’ because I am trying to get a better broadband deal and have spent hours on the phone today to places in India (as that is where many call centres are) because several of the broadband providers, indicated on a short list of four, turned out to not be available, so I phoned each to see if they could help! They could not.
You may be okay with spending time waiting for calls to be answered or struggling to understand but I have better things to do with my time. I had hoped to be able to do it quickly this afternoon online.
For your information, as you seem to doubt my word, here are two of the options that I wanted and got neither!

Thank you for your comment. Your scenario is the same for our lane. My immediate neighbour and direct opposite can apparently have the deal in question but for some reason, even though I am nearer the Openreach master box, cannot. I did phone Vodaphone and they did instruct me to speak to Openreach but, on phoning them, their taped message stated that they do not take calls regarding broadband queries and directed me to the broadband provider!
C’est la vie.
Thank you for your welcome input though.

Thanks for your information but I have decided to stay with my current provider, as at least I know I can get the speed they told me I would have! Sky couldn’t apparently provide the 150mbs I wanted but offered a 67mbs at more money and then their details could only guarantee between 25-35 mbs!! I phoned them as I was sure this 25-35 mbs must have been a misprint but no that is all they could guarantee, for my house, but they were prepared for me to sign up for 67mbs?
I am already getting 64 mbs from my existing one!
Thanks for your help.

Openreach are not yet in my neck of the woods, the fibre options are Virgin and the ISPs that use City Fibre.
I been in the situation of an ISP indicating that they do provide broadband to my address but the reality being they don't so I know how frustrating it can be.
I did look at the Vodafone offering and found it odd that the first thing you do is give info regarding the voucher rather than the actual service you require.
Just had another look on the Vodafone site and compared my address with a friend a mile away (both City Fibre areas)
For the same deal (910 Mbps) there is a £6 per month difference.

You may not mind giving your name, address, email and phone number to sites who you think can provide you a service only to find, after doing all that, they cannot, but most of us do not. What’s the point in bothering about personal online security and then just willy nilly giving it away? Is that what you regularly do, because most of us don’t. If you are okay with that then maybe you should take more attention of what M Lewis says. Who knows where these online sites are housed and who is monitoring them?

I don’t understand what you are saying that I provided a voucher offer. I posted on my reply to @ Ayr_rage That the offer I was looking for states 67mb for 24 months @£22.21 with the deal and then lists what the equivalent currently is of £23.50 and rising to….
Can you not see that?
