Why is the software designed so poorly then if it's that easy to make such an error?

Having led teams of Software Developers they very often code the way they naturaly think, so left to their own devices, the paths they assume the user will take through the software follows the thought process they happen to have.

If someone new uses that software, things often go wrong very fast, which is why independent software testers are crucial to test and correct these assumptions.

I've managed complex projects for clients with 100-200 page test procedures and the developers have assured me that the software passes, only to put someone new onto the testing and have it fail on multiple tests before we have even got to the second page!

    • The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

This all sounds like an enormous waste of time!

So what if there are duplicates? A 1TB drive can store literally millions of images. And how will renaming them help you? If you want to know what the image is, just show the preview pane in your file explorer so you can actually see it.

Your guess is as good aa anyone else's, but to be frank CCleaner v7 is not fit for purpose and for unwary and/or non-techie users is a collection of accidents waiting to happen.

Thousands of regular users have rolled back to v6.39, others have uninstalled CCleaner and are now using other cleaners.
