What happens if Anglian Water cant install water meter?
I'm thinking of asking for a water meter with Anglian Water as it's just myself in the home but I've got a feeling they won't be able to install one as I think we're all on shared a supply on our street with each pair of semis sharing the same mains. Also there's not sufficient access where the stopcock is to place an internal meter. I was previously with Severn Trent and the same thing happened with them but their policy is to put the customer on a "deemed" meter tariff which I was more than happy with as it was only around £20 per month.
Does anyone know if Anglian Water do a similar thing or will I be forced to stay on the rateable tariff?

If they are unable to fit a meter then they will will out you on an assessed charge which is based on the number of occupants and is cheaper than rateable.
