Do Spusu demand to Return the SIM?

I am planning to move to Spusu for a month and then return to Lebara I asked Google if they charge to exit and got the data below.

What jumped out at me was this:

SIM Return: If you cancel within the first month, you may be required to return the SIM card, or you might be charged.

Has anyone here been asked to return a SIM after they used the account for just say 3 weeks and then exited?

It says

"To cancel a Spusu mobile contract, either switch providers using a PAC/STAC code, which automatically terminates your service"

So I am wondering if I cancel after 15 days but pay for the first month, will they be asking for the SIM back and do they include an envelope to return it?

Thanks in advance.

AI Answer

To cancel a Spusu mobile contract, either switch providers using a PAC/STAC code, which automatically terminates your service, or contact their customer support via email or phone for a direct cancellation. Since all plans are rolling monthly, the contract ends at the end of the current billing month. Methods to Cancel Spusu:

  • Switching Providers (PAC/STAC):
  • Keep Number (PAC): Text 'PAC' to 65075 to get a code, then provide it to your new provider. New Number (STAC): Text 'STAC' to 75075 to get a code, which terminates your service immediately without keeping your number.
  • Direct Cancellation:
  • Email: Contact office@spusu .co.uk to request cancellation. Phone: Call 07356 010100. Online: Use the "My spusu" portal to request a PAC/STAC code.

Important Information:

  • Contract End: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current, already paid monthly period.
  • Cooling-off Period: You have 14 days to cancel without reason from the contract start date.
  • SIM Return: If you cancel within the first month, you may be required to return the SIM card, or you might be charged.
  • No Early Fees: As they offer flexible, rolling monthly contracts, there are generally no exit fees.

If you port your number out within 30 days of starting your Spusu service, Spusu charges an early termination fee of £4.00. This applies when you cancel within the first month after your contract or SIM activation, effectively including a PAC-initiated port out within that period.

My suggestion is use TCB compare SIM only deal and order Talkmobile/ idmobile 1 month SIM. It cost £6 - 7, but with potential £12 cashback

    Just to update

    I did not try Spasu

I went to one of the supermarkets and picked up one of those 99p sims which they sell from a multitude of vendors.

I got the PAC code and ported it to the new sim which was in some sort of pay as you go mode awaiting a top up.

I could top it up with a small amount, we shall see. I have not had any pressure to top up…. YET
