Vent - Top Cashback annoying wrong router price
Looking for a new broadband provider, went through Top Cashback compare, worked out the best for me:
However there is no £2.95 per month router rental, their lowest is £4.95
Top cashback at the bottom:
Slightly frustating as I now have to look again and will have work out the costs myself over a 24 month from each potential provider.

Well, it does say "Router rental FROM £2.95 per month"

Yes, so what does that mean to you?

Not all customers get that price, pretty obvious.

Here, did you miss it?

Yes I must have
Reads over my original post and examples - nope I said this and still not pretty obvious.0 -
if it’s not obvious then it looks like you struggle to understand the meaning of the word ‘from’.
In pricing, the word"from"indicates the lowest possible cost or the starting point of aprice range. It is commonly used to signal affordability while acknowledging that costs may increase based on specific options, versions, or conditions. Here is how it typically functions in different contexts:Starting Price:When a business lists a service "from £20," it means that £20 is theminimum pricefor the most basic version of that product0 -
Don't pay an ISP a monthly router rental. Couple of years ago I joined Onestream after they'd introduced £2.95 monthly router rental. Having been with them previously I knew which basic TP-Link router they supplied. Picked one up for £8 on eBay instead.

The "Standard" one shown above is the TP-Link TD-W9970, £30 new, £6 CeX.

Agreed, don't rent a router; buy one.
