Let them escalate. It’s a waste of their time.

It’s not a fine.

You don’t have to do anything after your initial appeal until, or if, they decide to proceed to court which would be a stupid thing for them to do

Then ignore (until any court claim, easy to defend & win). Tell the scammers if you move house. That's all that needs to be done.
