opened and funded £350 into Furness Summer 2027 RS yesterday when it went live. Just checked the app and £350 has been deposited and appearing on this account. I also have other RS
on Virgin Money RS, submitted closure form yesterday. I know that interest will be added to VM current a/c when they close the RS a/c but is it safe to move the entire money out of the RS a/c now?

It doesn't have to be the same account. Continuous membership means the unbroken period of time you have had financial products with the institution. You just need to make sure you always have an account with them, no gaps.

also, their RS mature into easy savings accounts (with the same account number if memory serves), so you could let the non-members mature, withdraw everything bar £1 and then not worry about this in the future.

Thanks, I couldn't remember if it was beneficial to keep your oldest account open for membership purposes (may have been Yorkshire not Skipton?)
Yes, in future I'll just leave an easy access account open with £1 in it. I went on a blitz of tidying up accounts a couple of months back, but in hindsight it would have been a good idea to keep the Skipton ISA open.

I live locally so I will be popping into a Tipton and Coseley branch later on, hopefully all goes smoothly.
Edit : simple enough. I was the first person to ask about this today at 2.10pm so they're not exactly being bombarded.

Furness BS Summer 2027 RS
Completed application as a new customer yesterday afternoon, Safari on ipad. Passed identity checks - photos of both sides of driving licence and a "head shot". Two e-mails in quick succession with online account details and savings account details. Confirmation of Payee failed so decided to wait overnight and it has succeeded. Funds not yet showing in account - e-mail says 3 days.
Minor point - I fund lots of RS accounts as first name surname, or first name middle name surname, and Furness BS have told me this account is title first initial surname. But this failed COP - so yet another payee as first name surname.
Furness BS are painless and easy to deal with so far.
Meanwhile I sent money to Teachers BS on 9th June, has finally appeared in their online banking today 17th, together with real account number. No details in post yet.

In this situation you’d have to close one and leave the other to mature into a maturity account and leave £1 in it, which would mean that the closed account could not be replaced due to a change in the terms when the currently available issues launched.

Same applies to Yorkshire, though I seem to recall in that case a forumite managing to get a Loyalty account opened in branch, but computer said no when they tried online as there wasn’t an open account that had been open for more than a year.

Tipton
Interesting that the T&C's say this:
The variable rate below is available for those with a B, DY, WS or WV postcode, and applies from 17 June 2026.
They'd have been better off saying something like below:
The account is available for those with a B, DY, WS or WV postcode, and applies from 17 June 2026.

Letter from Teachers BS finally arrived, 2 weeks after the initial deposit, confirming said deposit. Not surprisingly, it also confirms the account number which I can see online.
They are giving us the option to opt out of further deposit confirmation letters. I have gladly taken them up on this as I prefer to check my deposits online.0
