S and s isa

Hi I definitely want to open an s and s isa before the tax year.

Not certain which platform yet

Atm maybe vanguard fidelity or investengine

If I buy some shares in a GIA can I transfer them to a s and s isa once I know which platform I like best?

That is understandable. Platform to use is the last thing you select after tax wrapper and investments you want to hold.

That transaction is known as bed & ISA. However, it will involve a sale and repurchase.

No you can't transfer shares into an ISA, you have to pay money in and then buy shares with it. Before choosing a platform for your S&S ISA I would recommend checking the charges and investment availability for your likely investment amounts. Vanguard might not be the best depending how much you're investing but equally you can't buy shares in the Vanguard ISA.

Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

My good friend kind sir dear partner Albemarle, it is very kind of you to take note of myother posts but what is the point kind sir, this new post was a specific question. My dear sir I wish that you would not worry yourself so much about similar threads. It only ever leads to the purging of threads which goes against a forum designed for chatter an questions. My dear alibi we would have no more need for forums if every question was already answered somewhere else. There is no cost to extra writing as their is no cost to extra chatter in a coffee shop when the same questions has been asked many times before. It is not a problem Mrs Albemarle. Please relax and allow the questions to repeatedly wash over you. Float through the same question again and again, do not let it compell you to search other threads for potential duplications. My dear sir I do wish you all the best in your future and enjoy the sun today.
