Flight cancelled by EasyJet and Travel Insurance Declined my claim.
After over a 2 hour delay EasyJet cancelled my flight from Manchester to Paris, this was a trip to Disneyland with our son. We received a refund from the airline and have tried to claim the rest back with are travel insurance, we are still owed over £1000. The travel insurance has declined are claim after waiting 6 weeks to hear back off them. The policy stated adverse weather was covered and the email I received from the airline stated it was adverse weather.
Please could somebody help and point me in the right direction with regards to what I can do.

Confused here. You have had a refund yet you are trying to claim?
More detail needed. What have you had a refund of? What are you trying to claim for? How did you book this trip?

I have had a refund just for the flight from EasyJet. I'm trying to claim with travel insurance for hotels, Disneyland park tickets, airport parking …

You should redact your name from the quoted letter from your insurers.

Ultimately register a complaint and if you dont like their Final Response to your complaint you can take the matter to the Financial Ombudsman.
Proximal cause and causal chain are both relatively complex areas. The airlines response is effectively that had they had another spare crew then they could have flown you and so whilst the weather caused a delay the actual cancellation was caused by a staffing issue. Some travel policies do cover staffing issues but by the looks of the wording you have quoted yours doesnt.
A complaint may get you something, include the delay in the response as part of your complaint, but it's far from a slam dunk that it will be overturned.

Just to be clear, were these booked with the flights as a package, or separately?

Everything was booked separately

You won't be able to edit as a new user, think you get the ability after 10 posts? might be more.
You may be able to add a photo in a new post but this may be something limited for new users… certainly you can't post links

Bad news, if you'd asked yesterday I'd have known - MSE have released an "improved" editor today, it's proving a challenge…..
