    Thank you.

the issue with it must be the bottom as one half of the door when closed is flush but then the other half sticks out

I had an old wooden front door which was perfectly fine, I wanted to upgrade my door to a new composite one more for the aesthetics to be honest.

The company measured the front door and ordered it in and fitted it.

A picture would undoubtedly be worth a thousand words, but what do you believe the actual problem to be - the door being the wrong size/shape (were measurements shared?), or not being fitted correctly, or something else?

Got a photo? From that description it could be a number of things. You may even have experienced some ground movement in the last few months. Where I live, we have had quite a bit of ground movement as a result of a very wet winter last year, followed by a very warm dry summer. Our conservatory doors have had to be fettled and our patio is very uneven.

Some door types and colours aren't suitable for areas in direct sunlight, they can warp with heat. I suspect it would have happened before now though, unless you're now seeing the consequences of gradual warping over three summers and some of the driving rain we've had recently.

Ultimately, you need a professional to inspect it and determine the cause of the problem. If there's a fault with the door or the fitting that was inevitable after this time, then you have recourse with the retailer. If it is a result of something like ground movement, you don't.
