More seriously, I'd think someone realised their phone number error after two failed attempts but you could speak to the fraud line for peace of mind.
I doubt they'd be able to disclose any information. Which may be the reason for "I tried to ring them but because I don't have any account number I just keep going round in circles".
After all, for all they know the OP could be a wrong-un trying to locate where their victim holds an account. Without the ability to clear security, no discussion about a specific set of events could be had. They certainly could not lawfully confirm or deny to an unidentified caller that they hold an account that has been associated with the phone number.

What's not to like about Skeggy? Sadly Papa's fish & chips has closed down but the beach is lovely to walk on and nearby Gibraltar Point will really blow away those cobwebs. Just be careful which pub you choose to go in to watch the football. The clue was in the sign at the door which said 'Gentlemen must wear a top to enter these premises'! Classy or what?

Well, far be it from me to suggest you are making my point for me, but…

Anyway, I seem to recall that Eptons did an acceptable haddock, but as someone that is only associated to the place by distant marital ties, what would I know?

My marker of pubs to avoid, are the ones that have bouncers outside from Midday onwards.
