Well done for getting on the training - it's a shame it took so long for them to get it organised for you but I'm sure it's worth the wait! 😉😁

I have been investigating the binaural beats that @ArtyJ931 mentioned and I whizzed through writing a 10 page policy document whilst listening to that over the past couple of days. Still haven't done the effortful longer report I need to do, but that's on the agenda today to get a draft of that together.
I've just read a news article about a woman who hasn't turned her heating on for four years and I feel really inspired by it, though I will need to put the heating on a bit in the winter to prevent damp. To be fair even with heating, living in an old house I would say wearing a woolly hat indoors is just part of the winter experience.
The only things I'm allowing myself to do today that's not work is a choice of cooking a meal, having a nap, or going for a walk. As I can't be bothered cooking or walking, I'll probably get some work done.

Those binaural beats are like rocket fuel. That and the pressure of a deadline have meant I have gotten two of my five report sections written today and will do the other three tomorrow. I've layered the binaural beats up with a dance soundtrack and it's blocked out all of my distracting thoughts. I'm just emerging, a bit feral and somewhat dehydrated from a session of being intensely focused on it. I hope you're all doing ok on the money saving. Bank holidays are good for me, as being a homebody I'm just staying in the whole time.
I might allow myself a treat tomorrow, if I get all five sections largely finalised. What the treat will be is a decision I will only make if I reach that point. Could be chocolate, could be an early night. I've also finished a book (FREE on borrow box) called 'The Wrong Sister' by Claire Douglas - I have read all of the ones by this author now. Once this report is over and done with, I really must get back on it with some exercise.

Well done on the work productivity - it sounds like you’ve been on fire with it 🔥. I’ll need to check out the binaural beats when I’m back at work. My mind has a tendency to wander when I’m supposed to be focusing on something I’d rather avoid 😂.
Interestingly, I decided to try something new when reading yesterday by playing themed instrumental music to suit the genre of book I was reading through my headphones. It was mostly to block out the background noises but my goodness, I read way more than I usually would and was far more engaged.
Please make sure you do treat yourself to something lovely after working all weekend.PBs £2550 (including £1k EF & £500 Christmas fund)

@Dakota_Rose, it's worth a try if you have an avoidable task. I've spent weeks and months doing anything but this task. It's the ones that require multiple complex thought processes for me that take a long time - I'm much more motivated to do things where you do it once and it's ticked off and done and onto a new task. Reading background themed music is a great idea! I love that, I will give themed ones a go. I usually use the "reading ambience" ones on youtube and my favourite is a cosy one with the sound of a fire and rain outside, but since I've been reading a lot of mystery type books an atmospheric sound track would enhance this.

I have to write really complex reports at work and often have 4-5 built up due to avoiding them will spend a couple of days hyper focusing with binaural beats on and as you say stagger out the other side needing food and water but it works for me 😂

@ArtyJ931, I am the same, I disappear into a focus period for hours or days.
One section down, two more to go.

One more section to go….
Then I will have a complete draft. I think the treat at the end might just be eating a proper meal 🤣
