I’m trying to psyche myself up to wash my hair as I can’t stand the thought of the hair dryer…….

@liselle, I am with you, even the cool setting on my hair dryer isn't cool at the moment. I need to go to the gym now to get my money's worth, as I haven't felt like going all week. The air conditioning isn't good there and all I want to do is lie down.

I've forgotten what it feels like to not be hot and tired.

Tomorrow I am going to a local shop that sells 54 toilet rolls for £10 so I can stock up. It's full of all sorts of random household things that are much cheaper than usual. I am waiting until pay day to do a proper shop though, aside from the toilet rolls. I have taken some veggie mince out of the freezer and I have plans to make a spag bol tomorrow. I also have veggie sausages and various tins of beans, so I can make a sausage and bean thing if I decide to try and stretch things out a few more days, as I probably don't need to do a shop when I get paid. Although I decided to allow myself one if I am too tired to cook, otherwise I'll waste money.

I have set up Sprive so I can use that for the grocery shop I will do online. I think this month I'll try to do a proper shop every 2 weeks and then in between use what I have and do some yellow sticker shopping or TGTG, to keep costs down. The only thing I have coming up in the month of July is possibly a trip to the cinema and I see that Octopus have a reward on the app which is 2 tickets for £8 at Vue, so that takes care of that. We will probably go out for food before hand, so I will look around for vouchers if possible. Nothing else is really happening, so I'll read books for free and hang out at home or at the gym and try to get some work from home time to save petrol.

All of my fun money is now going on the gym membership.

Also, why is it such a lie that months are only 4 weeks long? Most of them inevitably span over 5 weeks.

my main entertainment spends are unlimited cinema and gym membership. My gym has a spa suite too. So I can always go to the cinema, go for a jacuzzi, go to yoga, do the actual gym. It gives me loads of leisure activities. I go to the cinema every weekend and gym 3-4 times a week so that’s my spare time well accounted for. Got the cinema annual membership through work so it works out at £16 per month - worth looking into if you enjoy cinema. It’s such a treat

That's really good value for the cinema. You have got it set up well there for your free time! Sounds like you are getting your money's worth for all of it as well. I did used to get very good use out of the gym as I went most days when I was a member before, which made the cost worthwhile. I am trying to get back to that, as the lifestyle where I've got stuck working constantly has left me very much in need of it.
