Claim Form Help

Hi all. My wife received a claim form. If you google the opticians and read their reviews, many people have had the same problem, she literally pulled into the space for a minute. In the past, it has gone this far once and we used one of them companies who charge £50/£60 and fight it who won. However, this time I’m not looking to do that and rather save the money. However, I am struggling to find in the forum how to begin the process in fighting this. Can someone please advise/point me in the right direction as to what to do?

Thank you in advance.

So its I Park via DCB LEGAL,  issue date 6th January

Study the 2nd post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad

You left her password on show in the picture , plus the claim reference is not correctly redacted either

The defendant should login to their government gateway account and complete the AOS stage online on MCOL ASAP,  following the advice in the Dropbox link in that post 2,  because time is running out  !  Monday. ?

Today if possible,  if its not been done yet. ?  Please confirm. ?

Then follow the advice in the defence template thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad,  following those 8 steps and using the 10 paragraph template defence in there, in the 2nd post

Thank you for your response and thank you for letting me know about the picture, I have edited it.

I will study the post that you have said.

AOS stage online has not been done yet but will do it today if needs to be done asap.

    Thank you.

She must do so by Monday afternoon,  but ASAP. ( HER, not you, but you can help her. )

Her defence deadline will then be 4pm on Monday 9th February

Yes, I understand. I will help her do it.

From what I have gone through, I begin from what I have attached? The Dropbox link?

    Thank you.

The claim will end up discontinued before the hearing this year. Just play the game:

Follow the easy 8 steps covered in the Template Defence sticky thread.

No link is needed to that Announcement, or to the NEWBIES FAQS thread - which you must also read post 2 of, especially the red heading IMPORTANT: KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN'. It is very easy.

See my signature below if you need a steer about how to hop straight to page one. This could not be easier once you bookmark the Template Defence thread to follow the 8 steps.

We don't want to know about DCB Legal's reply to your wife's defence, nor the DQ, nor questions about Mediation (all are covered).

What we do collect are pictures of the Notices of Discontinuance for Umkomaas' thread, so we'll see you again in the Summer/Autumn when you strut proudly back here with your win!

With an issue date of 06/01/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 11/01/26 and before or on 25/01/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 09/02/26

AOS is done. Thank you all for your help.

Now I copy and paste the following for the defence and that’s it? With the addition of a paragraph 3? Didn’t realise it was that simple, those aggressive companies just take £50 for a simple job

she literally pulled into the space for a minute
In which case, for paragraph 3 I would put:

"The driver drove onto the land, read the contractual terms, refused the offer that was made and left the car park. No contract was ever formed between the two parties and no contract ever existed to be breached."

Great. Thank you for that. I added this in and just submitted the defence via MCOL.

    Hopefully it all goes well.
