OK, so you may need to submit your WS regardless, even if they discontinue on or around 10th August

So study the 2nd post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements , plus the WS by member JackR1

In the newbies sticky thread post 2 , Read from

LETTERS ABOUT HEARINGS - WITNESS STATEMENT AND EVIDENCE TIME!

    To

Also attach a Costs Assessment (just an A4 page) if you are taking a day's leave from work, or have specifically incurred other costs or childcare or travel to the hearing.

Ok. Thank you. I was a bit confused as I thought that the WS was my statement of facts of what has happened and how they haven’t replied to the appeal (which is what I had put as defence) It also says in the sticky (g) that I should look at code of practice for something that supports the case, which is what I was thinking regarding any deadlines they have for replying or acknowledgment of appeals.

I will look at examples today. Thank you.

A good example to copy for format and style is that by @JackR1. Your WS should back up and support, with evidence, what you wrote in your defence.

    Good morning again, quick update..

This morning I have received a Notice of Discontinuance via email.

Thank you all so much for all your help and guidance. When I get home, rather than on my phone, I will upload the redacted N279 for the records.

    Thanks again. :)

Thank you @Lottie12345 for the copy of your NoD . I can now count your result in the infamous DCBL Legal thread of shame. 👍

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
