Because the help (whilst very appreciated) is a bit smoke and mirrors to me. I am a neurodivergent person so the pointers to various posts haven't really been enough for me to establish the specific things I need to be looking at. Basically I need more help than the quickfire answers I'm getting, so I am doing my best and that's going to be an iterative process I'm afraid. The forum search is not useful and the stickies aren't every obvious to someone who hasn't spent a lot of time on the forum.

Without being given the link, I'm guessing that what I am looking at is correct.

I'm also pretty sure I've seen somewhere that I have to admit I'm the driver if I was driving.

Hi, no the problem wasn't with submitting the information, it was literally just not loading the website. I got through and did a test paste and only need to scrub about 20 words off to fit it all in.

Ok, I've just gone ahead and submitted the defence.

Side note: I downloaded it as a PDF and noticed my name is incorrect. I don't wish to appear flippant in asking this, but since they haven't got my name right, does that go in my favour? I remember hearing many (many) years ago that this was a thing with council parking tickets…

I believe that you can correct the details on MCOL and on forms, so do so

If its a small error, then unlikely to affect anything, especially as you can amend any errors, so should do so

I havent a clue what pdf you downloaded. !

Do check that your V5c has the correct details on it

It's a lease vehicle. Stung too many times by second/third/etc hand cars so now I just get brand new and give it back when I'm done.

When you submit your defence you can download it as a PDF afterwards. That's when I noticed that the details the parking company filled in were wrong, but only by a letter.

Then the leasing company must have provided incorrect hirer details to the private parking company, or Smart Parking gave incorrect details to DCB LEGAL

Isn't it that your MCOL gateway account has that error and has overwritten it?

Nope I checked, the letters from June also had the wrong last name on too. It's very unlikely I would ever enter my own name incorrectly as I used the autofill feature of Chrome which hasn't let me down in many years.

Maybe the typo is on your logbook? Anyway, it doesn't invalidate the Claim.

Update: I have today recieved an email telling me Smart Parking wish to continue the claim. I have two PDFs, one is their rebuttal to the 'defense' I submitted via the court portal, and the other is a questionnaire QDR have filled in.

If I remember reading correctly, I should also get a questionnaire from the courts which is the one to fill in, is that correct? I should also receive the witness form to fill in as well?

QDR have put that their preferred court is in Warwick. That's 121 miles away from me. I was under the impression I had the opportunity to state I wanted this to be heard in my local court, is that also true?
