Bristol Airport 46 Stopping at a zone where stopping is prohibited.
I was wondering if you could help me with your expertise.
I received a CN from CVS from Bristol airport for stopping in a zone where stopping is prohibited. It was on 17/12/2025 and we received it on 21/01/2026 but dated 15/01/2026.
We had pre-pаid parking in the silver zone but the sat nav took us to a silly place inside the airport. When we noticed we were being going around in circles we stopped and backed away from the road to get out of the airport, which we did and eventually we found the parking we had pad for.
The letter of course is addressed to the registered keeper of the car (my husband) but the one driving that day was me. We stopped probably 2 minutes (waiting for the sat nav) and then we took the right route. Nobody got out of the car.
What can be done so we don't pay £60.00?
Thank you all.

Don't pay a penny, is the simple answer
Don't tell VCS who was driving either ( its VCS of Sheffield, not CVS. )
Your husband received the letter. ( you have not received anything. )
Read other Bristol airport threads, then the Registered Keeper appeals as keeper with the typical Airport no keeper liability template, same as all the other airport threads on here, so read the Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester group thread for starters
No blabbing about who was driving, NO PAYING. !5 -
But your husband will never pay anything, let alone £60.caramba2018 said:Hi all,

The keeper appeals - NOT YOU - using the template appeal you already saw when you read NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST before posting.
It won't 'work' but it isn't designed to get it cancelled. It's about laying the foundations. The point is he must add:
I was not the driver on this occasion and as this is an Airport there is no keeper liability. Jog on.
DO NOT NAME THE DRIVER.
DO NOT USE THE IAS.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Please would you be able to Point me to the appeal template? I am useless at the moment and I seem unable to find it! Thanks a lot! :-)Coupon-mad said:

Thank you, I could find my way around now.
My issue however is the following: the photos taken say the car "stopping" in an area where stopping is prohibited. The car was backing off on the pics taken from the cameras… does that count as stopping? Also, how do I know where the have jurisdiction? as I was backing off I could see the signs right in front of the car, but of course the pics are too small to see anything, but they are in the pics… would a Standard letter do in this case? Or should the particulars of the case be explained?
Thanks again!

Just Use the blue text appeal template, and expect that they will reject it
No admissions or stories

No details matter but if you didn't stop, then say that. Then IGNORE THEM.
Why not just read the MSE Guide at the top of the page? Checked by me and Martin Lewis himself, this summer. It's right there with a red MSE link above your thread right now.Just click through to (of course) only read the PRIVATE parking ticket Guide. It covers everything and you might prefer that format, as it's in bite size chunks.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Because I have read a lot of things and I am still confused about how to word my letter, and I was hoping I'd find a template, but i havent… and now I have looked at the letter AGAIN and although I received this last friday, I missed the Appeals date on 29/01/2026- But I will send it regardless if I can, as I have only received this on 23/01/2026 and they are very schemming when dating their letter on 15/01/29026… is it Worth trying to appeal still?
I hate these things….
