MSE - Sky Mobile - prices increasing by £3 from February 2026 - Lebara best alternative?
I've been with Sky Mobile for over 5 years - the first 3 were mandatory as part of a handset deal - the others I negotiated for 12-month discounts
In mid-2025 my 2 GB sim-only deal was discounted from £6 to £4.80 for a year
I received a letter today that the price would go up by £3 to £9 - but was offered first a 25% discount on the £9 - i.e. £6.75 per month
- then 30% - i.e. £6.30 per month
I requested a PAC - as there is a MSE exclusive Lebara deal for 5 GB at -

Months 1-6
£1.30/mth
Thereafter
£4.90/mth
Equivalent cost:
£3.10/mth
Rolling monthly contract...so does that mean I can jump ship after the 6 months of £1.30 are up...?
Also currently is this the best I can hope for?
I rarely use Data (the Sky 2 GB has been more than ample for me...) - and I don't even call or text much - but would like to keep Unlimited minutes

Well done.XzavierWalnut said:I requested my PAC code and next day offered 30% discount.
Is that before the price rise ?
If you put up the price you are paying now and the new offer on here it may help others to get an idea any discounts Sky may offer users.0 -
I am in EXACTLY the same boat. 2GB discounted to £4.50, back up to £7. Got my PAC code (for 3 Sims) to move to Lebara. Sky then offered me 30% off. I have since phoned Sky twice and the agents have tried their best but are all over the place with offers (30% not mentioned once on the call but a mix of double data / 25% off etc). But when I questioned further, I would still be subject to the February price rise, which resulted in it roughly going back up to £7 for 2GB. My 12 month contract is up tomorrow and I will be making the move to Lebara.1

I too was offered 30% - but once the price rise hits in February even that 30% will still be more expensive than what I'm currently paying (£6 with 20% off = £4.80 / February would be £9 with 30% off = £6.30)XzavierWalnut said:I requested my PAC code and next day offered 30% discount.0 -

This is how Sky make it sound - that you are being given a bigger discount - although once the price hike kicks in you will then still be paying more0 -
My 12 months will be up in June - but as my letter from Sky states I can leave Penalty free if I give notice within 30 days of receiving it I exercised thatCPS said:I am in EXACTLY the same boat. 2GB discounted to £4.50, back up to £7. I am currently paying £13 for 2 sims. The price from February was going up to £15.50.
With the 30% off the £15.50 I will be paying £10.85.
However, I am waiting for a call back, as the Sky person had a problem processing the discount.1 -
Update: I never got the call back so called them today. Bizarrely, It is now £10.65 and a 1GB increase on the secondary sim. It did get processed this time.XzavierWalnut said:I am currently paying £13 for 2 sims. The price from February was going up to £15.50.
