Yes I could do that but prefer to be self sufficient if possiblednpark38 said:Why not just call your Breakdown down provider out when it doesn't start.0 -
There are many like this that are suitable for EV's. Many owners carry them. We have one in each car.Troytempest said:LilSmiler said:Maybe get one of these, fantastic piece of kit and hold it's own charge really well. Connect it to your starter battery when you get back and off you go

Looks interesting but it says not suitable for EV's........so not sure about hybrid?
Real saver for battery for OP is not using the Hyundai app to keep checking car, as these do kill the 12V system.
To the person that said "not suitable for EV's........so not sure about hybrid?"
The section that says' that say's Hybrids are OK.Life in the slow lane1 -
Have you checked any vehicle specific forums for this? More likely to find other owners on such sites I'd think.
Some cars go into a deep sleep state when parked long term to preserve the 12V battery... other marques/models are not so well designed. Sometimes accessories (aftermarket alarms / dashcams for example) drain the battery as well.0 -
You may well need to use the 12v reset button when you get back to it. I'd be tempted to make it's last journey in sport mode to persuade the HEV battery to get more than the standard 50% charge.1

Try contacting an owner's group or forum. These cars have to be sent by ship from Korea, and hang around the docks for weeks, there must be something that can be done to preserve the 12V battery, like activating a transport mode, or just pulling a fuse.Otherwise to paraphrase Vitor's suggestion, there is considerably more chance of it being hit by a meteorite than of it starting after standing for 11 weeks.I have a BEV with a 60AH 12V battery, and it needs an entire day on the charger if it is unused for a fortnight, I'm sure it would be dead after 11 weeks.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

As are a few Kia models. 👍Life in the slow lane0 -
Would one of those jump starter battery packs be sufficient to get it going again? That'd save you needing to wait hours for a breakdown van.0

As are a few Kia models. 👍That's in the EU, it could take months longer to get here than on a car carrier from Korea!I assumed that they would be made in Ulsan.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

If you scroll down the page, there's an updated version. No mention there of unsuitable for EVs. Loads of EV owners carry these for when 12v battery dies.0 -
A jumper pack will do wonders, used mine to start at least 6 Toyota Prius in the past.
All my friends have them for cabbing.
Never done any damage.
On the Prius you jump via a terminal under the bonnet, not via the battery.
If you get a jumper pack it needs a boost button to override the lack of voltage in the battery.
Big fan of GooLoo GT4000, now superseded by GT6000.
My AGM battery is 9.4 months old and abused as I don’t drive much.
I carry the jump pack just in case, Pack £35 - £100 ish.
New battery fitted is£250 on my car.1
