From the UK would need a change likely somewhere in India.SiliconChip said:20122013 said:
Eskbanker's post have always been very helpful to me, regardless of that, I was not being sarcastic. I added the image so others can see and not to book the wrong airport as I nearly did.la531983 said:
Not sure if you are being sarcastic, but Eskbanker has a point.20122013 said:eskbanker said:I'd never heard of Suvarnabhumi so looked it up out of curiosity and see that it's just the name ofBangkok's airport, so it would have been clearer to have just referred to travelling to Bangkok!

If I started a thread on here saying I was looking for flights to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, not many would likely know where I meant without looking it up.
Are there any long haul flights to Don Muaeang any more? If there are, and any of them are from the UK, you shouldn't dismiss them out of hand, I took a flight to Chiang Mai from DMK in 2009 and I don't recall any issues getting to the airport from central Bangkok (it was actually trickier getting to BKK) and as it's a smaller airport it's easier to make your way around it.0 -

There are flights to DMK from all of the SEA regional hubs but nothing long haul from Europe.
Now that the airport rail link is open getting to the city from BKK is pretty easy now. The rail connection from DMK is less good.

As stated Google Flights is your friend. Non stop is Thai, Eva and BA but likely to be in excess of £700 in Feb - it's around 12 hours. It's cheaper to stop somewhere and using a more premium airline like Cathay/Etihad or some of the other ME airlines might knock a little off - in the £600's and raises the time to about 16 hours or so. To go cheap means something like China Southern which is around the £500 mark but takes forever - 25 hours or so.
It quite literally is - you pays your money, you takes your choice.0
