Going by recent reports that is quite likely to cause delays on arrival at airports due to first time registrations.nuffznuff said:
I've looked that up. Spain and Greece will implement EES by 1 April 2026. The deadline is 10 April, which is before we go away.Unless already done so you'll require to register for EES on arrival at the Spanish airport.

It's gone, so it probably was. As it 'appens, I've booked with a specialist airport transfer firm. Not sure if that makes any difference.
