Instant Gold Coffee

I'm a philistine when comes to coffee, happy with instant milky coffee.
For years been buying the Aldi own Gold freeze-dried and never used a full spoon, the last jar I started using more ( i don't think my taste has changed) I had a search and noticed others complaining.
Decided as was having an Asda shop would get theirs as have had it before, but recent reviews claim the coffee has gone downhill.
I'm now trying Lidl, but it's much the same as Aldi, has anyone else noticed standard dropping in this type of coffee?

Probably all comes from the same factory.

Vary the amount of milk you're putting in if you're starting to get bored with it. Or buy some posh milk. Treat yourself.Credit card 1700

I haven't noticed a difference with the Lidl coffee but I do stockpile so I'm probably drinking stuff I bought a year ago

I stocked up with Lidl dark chocolate, had a shock with the price now (over double what I last paid).fatbelly said:I haven't noticed a difference with the Lidl coffee but I do stockpile so I'm probably drinking stuff I bought a year ago

Because it comes from the same factory doesnt mean it's the identical stuff. Most firms make various grades and companies choose which one to brand to themselves and/or they create products explicitly for larger retailers to bespoke specifications.greyteam1959 said:Probably all comes from the same factory.
A friend worked in a baked bean factory, they had 3 grades of beans, a few grades of sauce and naturally you could vary the sauce to bean ratio. Retailers could pick and choose or give a price point and be shown the options to achieve it.

I use the Lidl version and really enjoy it, someone got me a jar of Costco's own recently £10 for 375g, they thought they were getting me a bargain! I didn't like it as much to start but now can't really tell the difference. I'll be going back to Lidl when it's finished though

That doesn’t mean it’s all the same. Many factories produce basic and superior products depending which supermarket they are forgreyteam1959 said:Probably all comes from the same factory.4 -

Thanks all.
Found out it's not my changing taste, had a small pot of the old coffee, I used the same amount that currently using and was far too strong. However it's made there is less "coffee" in the coffee.
