Morning All (just)
I can't get myself organised in the morning to post so having 5 minutes here at work!
Hope everyone is safe from snow/ice/storms, will read back later to see how you're doing.
We had a slight covering of snow yesterday which got quite icy so I gritted the whole road and everyone's pathways last night when I got home, also did my driveway and was so glad I did as it made leaving the house a lot easier this morning.
Condolences to Florenceem, such a shame.
Hope you're all well. Take care. XX10 -
Good afternoon
Wow, what a wild and windy night. The snow started in the evening, followed by gales. DH took BD out and said it was like a blizzard. Found out this morning that our village was completely cut off, with cars abandoned. I haven't heard of any damage to property, so hopefully all is OK. I heard it raining during the night, but not enough to clear the snow, but the sun's shining now, so maybe that'll help.
A slow start to the day for us as we have been up with BD during the night as he didn't like the sound of the wind. Strange dog, fireworks don't bother him, but he doesn't like wind and rain.
Dinner tonight is sardine fillets for DH and scampi and chips for me. Haven't had scampi in ages so looking forward to it.
Mehefin, sorry it didn't work out, but glad you had a pleasant evening.
Ruby, pleased things are going well with the new guy, and they appreciate you.
Dp1, congrats to your daughter.
Well I'd better get on with doing something, have a good day all, take care.10 -

Sorry to hear about the Dear John text @mehefin but kudos to you for getting out and about. I don't think I'd bother if anything happened to DH and I - he on the other hand said he would!! Charming!!
Great that the new young man and his Mum have asked you to stay on @RedRuby1231 - this will make such a difference to their lives xx
Fantastic news re: DD's fostering application @dp1 - I hope it's not too long a wait until she's able to have a placement x
Gosh @topsyturphy - can't believe it's been 3 years since your DS2's accident. Poor lad, so sorry he is still in pain. I do hope there is something they can do. Congrats on the new DGS news x
Yes @TravellingAbuela I too remember Speky - whatever happened to him I wonder?
I've had a really satisfying day at work today. New boss wants me again on Monday and Wednesday next week, so I'm hoping I can prove to be indispensable!!
Have a good evening all
