Problems with ID Mobile! How to cancel an order within the 14 day cooling off period!

I'm at my wits end with ID mobile!

I ordered 2 mobile phones with them last week, and received confirmation etc. They then proceeded to cancel one order (but claimed that I had made the cancellation??) and then tried to upsell me a new more expensive deal on the now cancelled phone!! During which customer service was very poor.

I told the advisor on the phone that I would like to cancel the orders under my right to do so within the 14 days cooling odd period, he then transferred me to a different dept to do this but it was the main phone line and then I was cut off.

I spent an hour trying to navigate their website, and eventually tried the chat bot - no joy. Then I proceeded to instigate an online complaint and completed the details - and was transferred over automatically to a live chat with an advisor. I gave them the order numbers and requested the cancellation - they said that there were no active orders showing at all, and so this must have already been done. I queried this but was assured that there were no orders showing.

Low and behold - today ID mobile have emailed me today with confirmation of my credit agreement and the phone is apparently arriving today via DPD!!!!!!

I have no idea what to do or who to contact!! Trying to communicate with this company is a complete waste of time!!

I don't want the phone, I want to cancel my order/agreement.

They have a PO Box to write to for complaints but goodness knows how long that will take or if they receive it. I don't want to cancel the direct debit with my bank just yet as if I do and they try to take the payment I'm worried that it will go against my credit score as a "missed payment".

I'm thinking of trying to contact the CEO??

Why don't you want the phone that ID are delivering today?

Did you happen to notice that ID are quite cheap when compared to other mobile suppliers? One reason for this is that they spend next to nothing on customer service. They are, after all, owned by Currys.

Good luck with that letter to the CEO.
