We’ve had a non-stop day of cleaning, tidying (indoors and out) and packing ready for our holiday while trying to keep the excitement of littlest at a manageable level. Having a house/dog-sitter in Mum is wonderful but blimey it’s a lot more work getting the house ready for her to stay. We’re conscious that she might hurt herself getting up to all sorts trying to help us so we always aim not to leave her a thing to do. I’m sure she’ll find something though!
I am tired tonight and still have a small list of things I’d like to do before going to bed.
We’ve tried to save some unnecessary costs by stocking up on snacks, drinks and a breakfast selection before going. One of our stays is more remote and requires us to take our own drinking water so that’s added some bulk to the luggage. This isn’t light for 5 of us, especially as we’re away for over a week this time. As I’ve been putting a very wriggly still-excited little one to bed, the ring doorbell has gone off continuously, which can only mean that Mr D is attempting the boot-packing jenga. I hope he manages to get everything in!I don’t have a plan for my diary while away. It’s become a part of my daily routine now so I may just continue as usual, but I’d like to think that my phone will and I will spend less time together in the coming days.
Happy payday for tomorrow to those who share a last working day of the month pay. I’m hoping to be up extra early to do the money shuffle before rounding up the troop.PBs £2050 (including £1k EF)

Have a lovely holiday. When my 4 daughters were small, we’d go camping in France. We had the car, trailer and roof box jam packed so I remember the packing jenga well!
