Have a restful Sunday. 😊
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

@weenancyinAmerica This did make me chuckle 😂. I think it was payback for the day I went to work with only fruit in my packed lunch. A big eater can’t move on from a thing like that very easily!

A busy day at work but not much else to report really.
I’ve sent £10 to a work collection for a nice colleague. I’ve got all of my birthday and events pot earmarked for Father’s Day so this has come from my personal spends.
I’ve been hit with lots of little payments left, right and centre since being paid. I’d added a warning note in my diary for July as last year got ridiculous with the amount of extras coming through, but June is turning out similarly this year!1 -
Another busy day at work today so very little else to report.
Really am hoping for an early night tonight!4 -
…and again. I think I mentioned that I’m going into my busiest time of the work year, and as I shan’t go into detail about my work on here, you can expect extremely dull Groundhog Day-style updates 😂
Finished work late, enjoyed dinner (which was pulled pork pittas with roasted med veg) and hid a Father’s Day present away once I’d checked it hadn’t arrived broken.
It’s not my night for littlest’s bedtime, so I’m enjoying a peppermint tea and a catch up on the diaries.
For anyone dropping by, I hope the excitement of reading my thrilling diary entry doesn’t keep you awake tonight 😂In reality, if you have trouble sleeping pop by again tomorrow for another so-boring-it’ll-send-you-to-sleep update.

I eat my words - eldest has just been to see me in high drama regarding a huge ailment he’s concerned about and needed to show me in confidence. He’d googled it and it said it was serious. Now, from a boy who has had heart and brain surgery, I was expecting the worst. After a bit of hyperventilating, he finally revealed a slightly split toenail.
I’ll resume my peppermint tea now 🙈

…and again 😂
The temptation to do a quick dinner or order pizza was strong tonight as I came in from a really busy day to find Mr D painting the bathroom ceiling and finishing some tiling. I resisted the urge for convenience and made leftover bolognaise into a mild chilli, with jacket wedges, leftover roast veg and cheesy nachos plus a jacket potato for little Miss. It’s what was on our meal plan and was worth sticking to as it was tasty and used all the bits up. It did mean a massive washing up task afterwards though.
Having just sat down, it’ll be time to get ready for littlest’s bedtime shortly. I can’t see me getting through that tonight without falling asleep myself 🥱 At least it’s Friday Eve!
