I've got 1 more positive feedback BUT

she didn't write anything for positive feedback and I'm really disappointed. Everything went well - quite smooth etc ...

She's new only feedback of 2. Any advice please...

Many thanks

Hmmm I'd maybe send her an email telling them I've given them positive feedback and just explaining that its nice to give some more details when giving feedback.

Thank them for their sale and hope that next time they learn.

Feedback is not compulsary, it's volountary. I'd be happy enough with the extra green dot.

  • Don't worry about it - life is too short to worry about ungrateful people. Sadly it happens everywhere, work etc, and we would go mad if we always let things like that bother us.

I know the feeling... once I sold a lot of books and a lady bought 5. She'd also bid on a further one and lost... as I had two copies I sent her a 2nd chance offer. Annoyingly, she'd actually paid straight away, which also meant she didn't have the postage discount I would have given her.

So anyway, there was a couple of days of me a) waiting for her to respond to the 2nd chance offer and b) asking her if she'd like me to refund her the extra postage, or for me to throw in the book for free instead.

When she eventually got around to responding, she told me her son didn't need the book I was offering, and she hadn't rebid once she found out. Fair enough - I sent the five books out straight away.

So I felt I had made a little effort to try to help this lady out... and was a bit disappointed to receive a run of five feedbacks that read 'Good'.. positive, fortunately!

I took a look at her history. She'd been trading quite a while but apparently just couldn't be bothered to write anything more than that one word, for anyone, despite receiving all shapes and sizes of well-crafted feedback from sellers. So I left her identical feedback back. At least it was positive - I didn't see why I should bother to think up the normally custom made, full length comment I usually leave ;)

She did seem to get the message though - last I checked, her feedback was up to three words, occasionally even four! And some people even get 'Great'

    I deserved a 'Great'

    ;)

Perhaps she was caught out being a newbie.

I once left a feedback that said 'E'.

I started to type 'Exactly as described' but the cat hit enter.

I was a newbie and emailed to ask if there was anything I could do, and bless them, they said it was okay and it might make people wonder.

At least they bothered to leave feedback. I hate it when people don't bother at all and I'm left worrying that the goods have arrived

Feeling lazy I was cutting and pasting a batch of positive feedbacks. I left the PC and without thinking when I returned I just logged back into ebay (I never leave ebay 'live') and pasted feedback and as it clicked confirmed I realised my son had made a correction to some homework and the feedback was some random statement about rainforests!

I emailed the buyer to apologise and luckily she thought it was funny. I'm much more careful now...honestly!

Personally I don't mind what feedback they leave as long as it is positive..I do worry though when I just get 'ok' or something as I feel that perhaps the buyer wasn't happy or something. It soon falls off the front page though and a positive is a positive.
