    I complete my spins - 2 per fuel - on the app each month and it works faultlessly and delivers the 8 octopoints per spin (very VERY occasionally more) to my points balance immediately. At the end of the day it's a free bit of fun - I don't go into it on the assumption that I have any entitlement to anything more than that bare minimum they promise, and generally speaking, I'm not therefore disappointed!

    I pick up my tuppence once a month, on a couple of occasions I've won a pound.
    Maybe they could credit those with problems a quid, and that would cover 1-2 years of spins.

    I don't particularly make an attempt to go there and do the spins; it's a bit like their savings for free sessions that give you a few pennies if you're lucky.
  • The App works fine with me, smart meter so 2 spins a month.  It is clearly a scam though.  It suggests that you somehow control the spin but it is clearly preset to land on 8pts each time.  They have made great pains to advertise the fact that some people actually win big...I wonder if anyone has done a FOI request to see just how many and how frequent these wins are?

    Nice to hear from another that the app seems to work. I've only won £1 in all the times I did it before it stopped working.

    This is aimed specifically at all Octopus customers, particularly those who have played the Wheel of Fortune game.

    My problem goes back to March 2024 when it stopped working. Since then every time I try to take my spins after leaving readings, I'm told that I have used all my spins for that particular month. Having notified Octopus Custome Service team of the issue, they have told me that "they are looking into it".

    I know that a number of you have commented in other threads about it, but it's now been dragging on for 10 months and still has not been fixed.

    So, I want you all to get mad, really mad*: just how many of you are in the same situation? What have Octopus done if you've complained? Are Octopus deaf? Has anyone emailed the Chief Exec at Octopus?

    Genuinely interested to hear about your own experiences...

    I emailed the CEO but my email auto forwarded to the standard "Energy Specialist" who responds to "hello@" emails - I gave up eventually - it was a complaint about not receiving any notification of saving sessions - which resulted in a compensation payment of £30........
    I had also copied in 'issueresolution@octopus.energy' as well as 'greg@octopus.energy' with no effect !!
    Octopus just repeatedly say the same thing "We are looking in to it....." with no intention to do anything at all - for months/years !

    Thanks for replying - I shall probably go down the route of finding Greg's real email address and escalating it myself.

    Your username - based on the single that reached no.1 during the '70s? It was a great hit, maybe ought to have been re-recorded by Status Quo!
