There was also a scam about 20 years ago many years ago where a guy called Terry Allison rebranded the same cheap chinese watch mvoement in the fake above into a brand he called "Montres Allison". Gave them "RRP"s of many thousands of pounds but offered them for sale with "discount opportunities" of "just" a couple of £thousand.

Again, these were chinese junk and only worth about £50... yet even 20 years later there are still people trying to sell them on to others to try and get some of their money back!

"The publicly traded company helped fund the design and production of the first Montres Allison watches.  Those first Montres Allison watches were produced in very limited quantities and were overpriced for the movements they contained and their country of origin.  However, Terry decided to only produce very limited edition and custom watches with precious metal cases beginning in 2004."

Montresallison.com doesn't tell you how to differentiate between pre 2004 and post 2004 watches.

There is no need to differentiate, all the products listed now are just vaporware to try and boost the brand image (note all the keywords used on the page, along with disclaimers that they have no rights to use any of them!)... also, just look at the state of the website! 

Also, the company was never publically traded, he is just a pathological "untruth teller"!

The company was sold in about 2010, to somone who he probably also scammed! They now only mention the cheap watches because that cat is well and truly out of the bag, so I guess the new owner felt they must at least acknowledge it in the interests of damage limitation! 

Terry Allison has also scammed backers on at least 2 kickstarter campaigns since 2012. Leopards, spots etc.
