Ebay Pricing Glitch

So, today i'm looking for something for someone else, they've given me all the details and when i look at it, on my devices, the pricing looks all wrong.

I didn't go ahead, am waiting further instruction from the person it's for - a lost sale for the seller, or at least a delayed one until the glitch is resolved, i don't have the chance to sort it out so they'll either have to do it themself or wait a few days 'til i can get to it again.

I saw this kind of example back in the summer and thought it odd then, but it's clearly glitch in their system.

Apart from being a high price , and I admit knowing nothing about fashion, what exactly is the issue with the pricing? That seller seems to favour extremely high prices and has a fair bit of positive feedback, albeit it from over a year ago for similarly priced items. 

Could be those viral Influencer items that people pay a fortune for as someone wore one on Tik Tok or whatever.

I always understood topshop to be teenage/budget fashion rather than Royal command but I might be wrong....

The listing actually states it is a high price as it’s unique and rare. 

It also states it’s been in storage for a long time and the photograph belongs to another seller !!

I’ve seen some viral items go for a fortune , usually because they are from some celebrity line or something. The fact that the seller has successfully sold clothing items at these sort of prices before suggests they know what they are doing.

Some people use Best Offer differently to others, as well as the other possible explanations. I've seen some sellers think BO is a kind of reverse auction and put a daft high price and think offers will come in. If I see it on something I want I'll put a lowball offer in and see if they have auto reject switched on. If they do I'll usually leave it.
