Maccies breakfast

2 separate visits to a local McDonald’s however the camera hasn’t recorded the times correctly.
It’s recorded a 14hr stay when each visit was actually about 10 mins.

The first visit on the 14th there is a bank transaction but the 15th visit was a cash payment so no evidence of a separate visit.

Any advice on how to avoid any charges ?

FYI  -  even the unregulated "joint" single ppss CoP (soon to be replaced by Government regulated CoP) acknowledge this scam:-

    https://www.britishparking.co.uk/write/Documents/AOS/Sector Code Templates/sectorsingleCodeofPracticeVersion1.1130225.pdf

    "7.3. Use of photographic evidence

Photographic evidence must not be used by a parking operator as the basis for issuing a parking charge unless:

    d) images generated by ANPR or CCTV have been subject to a manual quality control check, including the accuracy of the timestamp and the risk of keying errors.

NOTE 1: The manual quality control check for remote ANPR and CCTV systems is particularly important for detecting issues such as “double dipping”, where image camera systems might have failed to accurately record each instance when a vehicle enters and leaves controlled land, and for checking images that might have been taken other than by a trained parking attendant (see Clause 15)

How about this appeal letter.  Should I include anything else?

I am the registered keeper of the vehicle. I deny any parking contravention.

The vehicle arrived at McDonald’s Hazelgrove at 17:01 hrs on 14/12/25 and departed at approximately 17:11 hrs the same day. On a separate visit, the vehicle arrived at 07:33 hrs on 15/12/25 and departed at approximately 07:43 hrs.

This is a clear case of the well-known ANPR “double-dip” error. The system has incorrectly recorded a single continuous stay. You are required to manually check ANPR data, including orphan images, which will confirm the two separate visits.

You have failed to carry out the mandatory manual checks required under the BPA Code of Practice.

I request that this charge is cancelled immediately or that full ANPR logs for all vehicle movements on the above dates are provided.

I will not be naming the driver.

If the UKPC ANPR was working correctly, their would be a picture of your first exit ?
WHERE IS IT ?  UKPC has history of faking timestamps and at the time were banned from the DVLA

UKPC will usually say that you must prove that your vehicle was elsewhere during the time it was allegedly parked. If you have any evidence, that can be useful at later stages, but it is for UKPC to prove their case not the other way around.

Also, 10 minute visits would likely involve the drive through.
Using the drive through service would suggest that the stays were short.  If the driver had parked up they would more likely have gone inside.
