Woodstock is very charming Rosa, it’s one of those places which makes me happy just walking around there especially on a sunny day.
Did a tour around the chazzers in Headington today, and bought a lovely pair of Hotter purple and white floral trainers (I thought the ticket said £8 but the lady on the till said the writing looked more like £5, so I didn’t argue 🤣🤣). Taking inspiration from goldfinches, I now want purple laces for them!
Also bought a nice midi (midaxi?) purple and pink floral cotton Seasalt Trewolf dress for £10 in the larger of the two CRUK shops. It’s is as new, fully lined, and looks great on. It’s this one (picture from their website as I am nowhere near it to photograph it at the moment). It’ll go nicely with the sandals I bought yesterday, and maybe even with today’s trainers although I think that might be pattern overload 🤣

I think Daffers is nest sitting at the mo… she just makes the odd appearance now with her trusty mate in tow. Not spotted any signs of the nest but parts of the garden are very overgrown. The little ducklets should appear towards the end of the month, fingers crossed!
Apologies for the radio silence of late - life has thrown a couple of curveballs recently so haven't been chazza-ing. Hope to be back to it soon. Still enjoying reading about all the bargains being found tho x

Thanks for the Daphne update. We all look forward to any further info when it's available.
Meantime I hope all your curveballs circle around and go back to where they came from.

The wit abounds on this thread!
Yesterday I got some fabulous books for the sum of £1 (total) that I cannot wait to start reading - the only question is which one first?:

So much to read, so little time.7 -
Oh the Albert Camus takes me back, I had to read that (as La Peste) for my French A level.
I’d read the one about Maxwell first. Appalling man, but I would be interested to know about his background.7 -

Great bargains there, Frith! Those tables will sand and re-polish beautifully (are they G Plan? I recognise the 70s style from somewhere) and the painting is beautiful. Given its value, I might be tempted to sell it on 🤣

My first thought was G plan too. They are fantastic. I always thought The Shambles was in York.

They're a G plan copy. I shall pick the white spirits and Danish oil up from B and Q tomorrow.
Shambles are all over the place, @beanielou. It means a row of butchers (or possibly slaughterhouses).
