Will icesave reduce rate

Thank you And as an Icesave saver myself, I hope not! Personally I think it depends on what ICICI do, as they are probably the closest competition to Icesave. If ICICI stick at 6.41% I would have thought it wouldn't be all that smart of Icesave to drop their rates. However if ICICI drop, I'd not be at all surprised to see Icesave drop by an equivalent amount.

I agree, and would have asked "who moved first last time, ICICI or Icesave?" but the last 5 movements have all been up so there's no (recent) precedent for these two in a falling BOE rate situation...yet.

I've not been keeping a close look at what's happened elsewhere, but I assume that when Icesave do drop their rates they'll probably also lower their fixed rate (for new customers)?

I think BOE will reduce rates again this month or next - so what Icesave does is going to be interesting?
