Will icesave reduce rate

Is Icesave likely to reduce the rate by 0.25% now that others have done?

Thanks for making me panic with the title of this thread. It should say "Will ICESAVE.....?" I'd say no because their main competitors have yet to reduce theirs, ie ICICI and others. Interbank rates are falling a bit but are still above the baserate so I think no, for the moment. They had better not!0

They probably will but their rates are way below base rate in Iceland so it seems likely that they are still gaining considerably from UK savers offering them cheap money and may feel less pressure than UK institutions.0

Also GBP has lost over 10% vs ISK (and EUR, etc) over the year. I can only see this trend continuing during 2008.0 -
As an Icesave customer I find the title of this thread really annoying TBH! As other say why not use the word WILL? :mad:0
