Correct restaurant name, incorrect location

Hmm, with those timelines I can see no reason why CCR right to cancel for any reason or none within 14 days is not available.
If the OP allows the pub to respond then this should resolve in the OP's favour.
This seems to confirm that the 14 days still applies to gift vouchers.

Good detective work how you located the restaurant haha!Grumpy_chap said:OH - this is two totally separate pubs with totally different websites (not as the OP suggested the "websites are exactly the same").
I think this is wholly the OP's error and there is no reason why either company should offer any remedy. The OP may be very lucky and get something from goodwill, but that's the only possibility.0 -
Voucher is for over 12 months for no specific date and is unused.Alderbank said:I agree this is wholly the OP's error.
But they bought the voucher on 24 Dec and cancelled on 28 Dec (assuming they emailed the correct restaurant!).
Assuming the voucher was not for a specific date and has not been used, why are they not entitled to the same consumer right to cancel as anyone else under The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013?
Why is that not a possibility?0 -

Unless your email to explain and apologise made it clear that you are cancelling the contract, email them again just to make that clear.[Deleted User] said:

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 they must refund you in full within 14 days.2
