Transpose or more accurately like for like, adopt incumbent meter readings

The meter going round the clock isn't a fault, it's how they work. It is a perfectly plausible reason for your reading to be lower than one taken some time ago.gesdt50 said:Usage is extremely low,""We've seen cases where the supplier has insisted that the customer's much lower reading must be due to the meter going "round the clock", difficult or impossible to disprove without some history of real readings. They can ""insist"" as much as they want but they'd have to prove that the meter is faulty and incur the costs to do that or repartions for losses once and otherwise
The important point is that if you let estimates run on unchecked you may have to go to some lengths to prove your case. Why not spend a few seconds getting an actual reading to save grief down the line?
It may seem like a good idea to just pay the estimates, but at some point reality will catch up.0 -

I'm ever hopeful.
Either the OP will face a big catch-up bill one day of find he has been overbilled and get a big refund.
Whenever that time comes there where be hassle - I'd rather spend that 5 mins a month ensuring every thing is up to date.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill4 -
As far as I can work out either you are wedded to the idea of never giving a meter reading or you are running some scam running your meter round past zero using loads of energy until the meter reaches a plausible point again. I can’t tell which.0

OP,whilst it's nobody's business bar your own what your motivations are in continuing doing this, surely sending a reading using actual figures in case of any problems is likely be rather less of a "hassle" than not having done so,your choice obviously.
As far as any potential switching goes you won't be able to without providing actual readings.

As far as any potential switching goes you won't be able to without providing actual readings.Motivations are as I originally mentioned ""to give a reading every month which is only a hassle because there are so many other bills & online things to do every month"For switching I don't mind giving the meter readings, there so low a few pound either side would be the most they would be off money wise and I can confidentally pay even a lot more if it came to itI am only inquiring if any energy provider continues on previous estimates as I am massively busy & don't want another thing to do or pay a penalty for missing contributing a reading in a given month?0 -
Any reading missed in one month will all come good the following month providing you give a reading then.0

It must have taken way more of your time to ask the question here and respond to all the answers, than it would have done to take and record a meter reading.gesdt50 said:Motivations are as I originally mentioned ""to give a reading every month which is only a hassle because there are so many other bills & online things to do every month"For switching I don't mind giving the meter readings, there so low a few pound either side would be the most they would be off money wise and I can confidentally pay even a lot more if it came to itI am only inquiring if any energy provider continues on previous estimates as I am massively busy & don't want another thing to do or pay a penalty for missing contributing a reading in a given month?
